I am sure that anyone who was 18 years, the planet must apply at least to the credit card received an offer for one. Television advertising, Internet advertising and credit card applications through the mail, you are a constant reminder of how our credit card company will be integrated with use. I personally know of no adults who do not have at least one active card. Not to mention the many auto loans,Home loans, personal loans, loans and businesses, all available to consumers. Let's take a look at three different types of credit cards.

First, let's look at personal credit card. There are many different companies that offer cards in person. The price is usually between 90-20 percent. Many companies offer these days, now zero percent balance transfers. They range from the life of balancetransmitted, except for a few months or maybe even two years. Many companies offer low introductory rates and then increase the speed after a certain time. What many consumers do not know the personal credit cards, is that many times, the rate of company cards give a brief introduction, and then raise the rate when a customer changes the credit score. This is a very common practice, we must read a lot about the conditions of personal cardcarefully.

Second, let's take a look at the small business credit card. The prices are generally higher than the personal lines of credit, because of the much higher limits. These prices are generally in the range from 12 to 25 percent. The Charter for Small Enterprises also has limitations, the loans are much higher than the personal lines. The limits usually range anywhere from fifty dollars up toseveral hundred thousand dollars. This type of card offers for balance transfers, but makes it much more difficult to transfer large balances. These cards have a payment function of a more flexible and less strict refund policy. Many small business cards can help businesses to pay not only monthly, but bi-monthly, quarterly, or even. This can be a huge benefit for small business owners;which usually works as a sole proprietorship or a corporation. The borders are usually quarterly, based on the owner's personal credit scores and the amount of income or that the company generates each year.

The third type of credit card, we take our first is the Corporate Card These types of cards are always extremely difficult. One reason is that the company has a credit history over a long period. This means that the company has business to take out loans, credit accounts, and maintain a good credit history for a longer period, as opposed to individuals or small. Another reason that it is difficult to get tickets to a corporate culture is that the credit card companies have a significant amount of goods and five to be profitable in two years and before applying for a line.

The limits for business accounts areanywhere from fifty dollars to the millions of dollars infinity. As the company expands, credit card companies usually increase the limits. This type of card offers for balance transfers, but makes it much more difficult to transfer large balances. The terms are very similar to small credit card account business owners. The payments are not necessarily monthly, but bi-monthlysometimes quarterly. Interest rates may be much higher than the small business or personal lines of credit, but this is due to very limited. Interest rates are about 12-29 percent. Some companies have even been known to charge flat rates on business credit lines. This usually occurs when a very large corporation wants to borrow from credit to a lot of money for his line.

Sothat's it. personal credit cards usually have lower limits and lower interest rates, and are paid monthly. This is in contrast with small and corporate business cards, which usually have higher limits with higher interest rates and can be paid in two quarterly or monthly.

Credit Card (CC) terminals or point-of-Sale (POS) are a necessary part of a hardware store every time a card or credit cards accepted. Usually, acquiring or leasing company with terminals from your credit card account merchant provider, such as it is cheaper. However, there are other options. This article describes some important points regarding the collection terminal CC.

Accepted forms of payment in POSTerminals

Before you start looking for a car with a credit card to make payment types that you want to handle it.
debit card payments: If the POS terminal to accept credit cards and debit cards? accept debit cards is good, it costs only a transaction fee is not, the discount rate. If so, has an internal or external PIN pad? An internal PIN pad is more elegant than a portable device, but it also means customers areDealing with the terminal. External PIN pad to cost $ 100 – $ 200
Electronic Check Conversion (ECC): If you electronically process paper checks, you must maintain a MICR check reader that scans the code and a snapshot of the control to make records. It costs a few hundred dollars. The advantage of ECC is that the processing time is much shorter. Also, do not worry about keeping control checks or deposit them interfere rejected are reported quickly, and the deposit is made much faster.
Debit Cards: You can accept gift cards or reward, if you offer an increase in sales activities. Most of the POS terminal software can be mapped, for example, to accept.
Smart cards: Smart cards are the successors of credit cards, but not yet widely used. With the exception of account information, store personal information on a chip. A POS terminal, the Years to provide integrated with an external or internal smart card processor, as this payment method has become popular in the coming years. External devices cost $ 100 – $ 200
Check / Debit cards: Often confused debit cards, bank / ATM to work with, since both debit and credit cards set them. Through the Visa or MasterCard logo. discount rate for calling outside of the cardholder to enter their PIN, while the> Map.
Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT): If many of your customers are using food stamps and welfare cash benefits, the PSO terminal should be able to accept them. Customers must enter a PIN for the card as debit.

Types of credit card terminals

credit card terminal) can be integrated (all-in-one integrated or not. plugs are compact integrated, have a built-in printer, not so manyCable and serve all your needs of transformation. The disadvantage is the high cost and the effort not to use the device in a position when it developed a snag printer. Non-integrated POS terminals are more bulky than the PIN pad and printer are external. There are no more wires to hide, but the lowest cost.

Buy or lease a credit card terminal

New POS terminals can be costly. If your budget is tight, you may consider buying a refurbishedTerminal. These are the terminals that have been established are set by manufacturers and sold at discounted prices. Warranty for these units is similar to the terminals available for the new. If you do not mind a few flaws, this is a good option.

You can also choose between leasing and buying a POS terminal. The cost of a basic terminal is cheaper than a lease as a reseller only long lease (48 months) has not taken place, and pay the sales tax and security against loss orDamage.

The best place to install a terminal

The position of a POS terminal is important for the convenience of customers. The terminal should:
Ideally placed for a faster cash
Customer PIN pads that easily accessible
near a phone booth
preferably a small footprint

Companies should also have a secondary phone line in order not to be missed for all customers, while the terminal is in operation.

Some ofknown brands, manufacturers of POS terminals are VeriFone, Hypercom and Ingenico. They offer easy credit card processing to more sophisticated models. Personalize your business needs with the available functions and select a credit card terminal that will serve you well for years to come.

As we march head long into the new millennium it would seem that a Credit Card is an essential accessory of modern life.

There are not many places on our planet where you can’t use the ‘fantastic plastic’ for purchases large and small. In this phenomenon (the vastness of the credit card network) lies the ambush of the credit epidemic.

Unfortunately for some of us we are unable to control the use of our credit cards and we fall into the downward spiral of ever deepening debt. The fact that financial institutions freely issue credit cards to those whom they almost certainly realize do not have the capacity to control their spending or the means to repay the limits of their credit is irresponsible on their part.

Of course on the other hand there are millions of responsible users of credit. For many people a credit card is a means by which they can deal with their current situation, thereby allowing them to take control of their finances. By this means then, they can successfully manage to climb out of the slippery hole of debt and maintain control of their spending.

The responsible use of credit cards involves us being in control of our lives. For many ‘retail therapy’ is an escape from the reality of what is actually happening in their day to day circumstances. To be a responsible Credit Card user there are several things we must consider:

Never spend more than we can really afford! It seems fairly obvious to the thinking person, however the temptation is always lurking there to use our Credit Cards for things we think we can’t do without.

If we do need to use our Credit Card for large ticket items then do not use them again until we have completely eliminated the negative balance from that Card.

Ideally each month pay the entire balance outstanding, and at the very least pay more than the minimum payment amount (and hopefully do not spend any more until our Credit Card is again debt free).

If we are using our Credit Card for everything i.e groceries, utility bills, daily expenses etc as a means of tracking our expenditure then set up an automatic payment system with our bank so that the balance is paid out each month within the interest free timeframe.

When we are going browsing – don’t take our card so that we aren’t tempted to spend on unnecessary items. Our wallets can actually get along without our Credit Card (can we?).

If all else fails – freeze your Credit! Yes literally fill a large container with water, place your Credit Card in a sealable plastic bag and suspend it in the water, now place the container in the bottom of your freezer and leave in place until completely frozen. At the very least this will make you have some “thinking time” before you are able to use your card.

Credit Cards are a good thing when used wisely. If we find ourselves in debt over our heads seek professional help. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for assistance in managing our finances, in fact it is quite the opposite. Many people have discovered release from crippling debt by taking the step and finding someone who will help them.

Telecheck is a great service for the right business, if you are processing a large amount of credit card volume, checks will also be a part of that mix, being a business owner you owe it to your customers to pay you in many different options. When a customer buys your product or service you want them to hand over a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Debit card or paper check. You are in business to make money, and try to never turn away any type of transaction.

The key is to have your customers purchasing experience a positive one that will keep them coming back for more.

Here’s how Telecheck works. The check is entered face up. The dollar amount is keyed in. The terminal dials out to the largest and most accurate check writing data base for an authorization approval number much like a credit card approval number.

The check is placed in faced down and a receipt is generated on the back,a paper receipt is also printed which is signed by the customers. The check is handed back to the customer completely voided out on the front so it can’t be mistakenly re-used which now acts as their receipt for the purchase.

When your business day ends all the check volume dollar amount, all the credit cards and debit transactions are then settled to your bank. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover and debit post 24 to 48 hours not counting weekends, depending on your financial institution. The Telecheck transactions always post to banks in 48 hours.

The machine that processes telecheck transactions is called the Eclipse, It offers a variety of cool functionality like gift cards, loyalty cards, EBT, pin debit just to name a few. These functions greatly depend on your credit card processors ability to offer these other value added products. This machine should truly limit the number of credit terminals you need to carry at the point of sale.

I’ve seen busy convenience stores with gas stations using five or six credit card terminal which is insane, it just ties up valuable counter space. When using the Eclipse I can see using maybe one more terminal at the most. EBT in a lot of states is almost always on a free state provided terminal.

Some of the draw backs I’ve seen with my experience dealing with the Eclipse that it uses a great deal of ink, and paper which can be pricey, but again its just the cost of doing business.

If this machine is eliminating bad checks, It’s well worth the extra expense. A very important tip about the Eclipse be careful where you buy. These machine are very sensitive, and can malfunction very easily try to always buy new. It will save you a great deal of money in the long run.

Most used Eclipses are like in some cases buying a used car unless the previous owner states it was sparingly used, then you should probably be OK, and make sure there’s a very strong return policy or at least a one year or two year warranty.

Everyone has a fascination about the REV Letters on the bottom of the terminal, and rightfully so its very very important to know what REV version your machine is, especially if you are buying new or used. The most recent version is H which was released in mid 2005, REV G min 2004; The majority of the terminals you will find on the market are REV F which will be from 2001 to 2004, REV E 2000, REV D3 2000.

Now most importantly REV’S A-B-C-D are old almost pre-prehistoric run as far as you can from these versions, they will not load the latest program from Telecheck, at this point depending on what you’ve paid you may be out a considerable amount of money or spending time fighting tooth and nail for a refund.

If you buy used always ask the question about the REV letter. The seller will be very impressed with your knowledge of the equipment, and will be kept on there toes while dealing with you,and rightfully so be more inclined to offer you a recent REV version.

Time is money getting the wrong terminal will absolutely delay accepting credit cards and checks at your business, which in most cases for small retailers that I’ve worked with, its there life blood. Externally these older terminals look the same, but may have considerable internal differences like gears and motors which may vary, and the warranty repair will cover only the newer versions.

The Eclipse has a lot of mechanisms that can go bump in the night, make sure you have a good warranty, or working with a good merchant processor that is national, like the big banks that offer credit card processing, but be careful with the banks they are usually more expensive on every aspect of merchant processing, and you can get swept away in the big banks bureaucracy. On many occasions I’ve seen the independent smaller processors give that one on one attention, and replace defective equipment in a 24 hour turn around.

I hope you find this information helpful. I’ve been selling the Eclipse for over 10 years, and have placed hundreds in the market place. I will be posting more information regarding the Eclipse and Telecheck as I place machines out in the field. I get a great deal of feed back from my customer’s. I wish you the very best of look.

If you feel your merchant fees, and rates are to high, and are considering changing your merchant processing company.I would be happy to analyze a current statement, and will show you ways to reduce processing cost and improve cash flow.

Corporate credit cards are almost a necessity in the business world. They can be used for a variety of purposes including paying suppliers and vendors, travel expenses for corporate, travel, maintaining office supplies and stationary, and for making the million little purchases that a business required on a day by day basis.

There are many advantages to using corporate credit cards, not the least being that nobody has to carry wads of cash around to make minor purchases. Corporate credit cards also provide a great way to track expenses by item and by individual. Some corporate credit cards like American Express will even provide detailed reports on business travel so that the company can monitor its travel patterns and make adjustments that can result in large savings.

Corporate credit cards are also another record of expenditure that can be traced and followed up on if there is a problem or discrepancy noted during a review or audit. Accountants love this back up system of receipts and the ability to identify every single purpose makes the jobs of the auditors much easier as well.

If there is a downside to corporate credit cards it is on the aspect of possible abuse and even fraud by employees using the corporate credit cards. Some companies have been misled by their employees who have used the corporate credit cards for non business related expenditures. These errors have not been identified because employees delayed filing expense reports and in some cases the employees were long gone before their actions had been discovered.

To prevent these situations from arising there needs to be a firm company policy about the use of corporate credit cards and discipline for those who abuse this privilege. Every employee who receives a corporate credit card should be given an orientation on its proper use and know the consequences if they do not follow these procedures. Most companies also limit the number of corporate credit cards in distribution and also require approval before using the corporate credit cards over a certain amount that is tied to the duties and responsibilities of the employee’s position with the business.

Corporate credit cards can be a very useful tool for any corporation, business, or even small business. They can allow a company to operate without using cash and without having to use their own money to do business. Corporate credit cards are available from all major banks, credit unions, and from the credit card companies themselves. There are a variety of options and rate plans to choose from and each business should review this carefully before selecting corporate credit cards for their operation.

Just remember to build in checks and controls to limit and avoid employee abuse and corporate credit cards will be an important asset for any business.

There are just a small amount of major credit card companies and they are Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and American Express. There are large amounts of lending institutions that will issue credit cards and almost all of these companies offer the consumer the secured credit card. The major lending institutions are normally banks that are major banks with a large amount of depositors. That is why it is important that these banks make sure that when they issue credit that they will not only get all their money back but make a profit from the loan.

The bank lending institutions know that it is loans that help them to grow and prosper. It is important that they make a loan to someone who will make a great effort to pay back because soon the bank would go broke. The economy has changed the ability for most banks to make loans. That is why the secured credit card has become the number one credit card today.

The card provides a guarantee not only to banks but to other lending institutions like credit unions and private concerns. A consumer must make a deposit into the savings account of whatever lending institution they are getting their loan from to secure the loan. This is a loan so it does mean that you must pay them back with interest and perhaps a membership fee. You need to check and make sure that you are not paying back the bulk of your loan in order to be able to have some of the loan to spend. A great thing about this type of loan is the fact you can build your credit score so that someday you will be able to get an unsecured loan.

If you have thought about starting a small business, and about ways of expanding it rapidly, then you would have definitely thought about getting a business credit card without personal credit.

However, you should know that getting one is a Herculean task as you have no financing partners to rely on, nor do you have any technical skills that can aid you. These are the basic requirements you need to get a financing company to pay you a sum of money that can be used for business growth, with no personal guarantees like collateral or personal credit for that sum. So what is the option left? You are about to find out shortly.

What’s the Solution?

Many financing companies like Chase, Amex and Discover issue business credit card without personal guarantee. These companies understand the plight of the small business owners who have only a small business credit and are ready to help them. If you want one of these companies to sanction you a business credit card, all you need to do is convince them that your business is viable. If you can do that, they will give an approval of your good credit and this way you can build business credit. However, in order to qualify for an approval, there are certain things you need to know.

How to Go About the Process?

First and foremost, you will have to prove it to the company that you have a good business-credit. Your business credit will be defined as good or bad depending on your business credit report that is prepared by the credit reporting agencies: Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax Business and Experian Business. After doing so, you will have to find companies like credit card companies or vendors and suppliers who can give you credit without considering your credit report score as the basis. After that comes the hardest part. You will have to prove to the business credit bureaus that you have a good payment history. All these are necessary for the improvement of your business profile and for proving that your company is viable.

Once all this is done, you have to start approaching financing companies. It is important when and how you do this. Don’t be surprised if the lenders ask you for any IDs, business licenses and some other business documents. These will be asked as per his will but you can be sure that none of them will be tying you to your personal account. Your attempts at building business credit will go in vain if you do not produce the right documents. Your application might even get rejected.

You should also know that you might be misguided by some websites that say, in order to get an approval form a financing company, all you need is a good credit score. However, that is not the reality. Maintaining a good business profile is just as important. You should have high reporting limits and your chances of getting a business credit card without personal guarantee are directly proportional to that factor.

Do you have credit cards? Do you know exactly which fees you pay, and how much of your monthly payment is devoted to such fees? If not, you’re in good company; too many of us don’t know exactly what we’re paying for when we make our monthly payments. And card companies have been accused of making credit card terms and conditions too complicated for the average card holder to understand. What’s a consumer to do?

First, know what’s out there. Fees come in the form of annual fees, late fees, penalties, fees for cash advances, fees for international purchases, and even fees for paying your bills over the phone. Fees are a slight nuisance to us, but they are big business for card issuers, who took in $25 billion in late and other fees in 2006. Yikes!

There are some steps you can take to reduce the amount of money you pay out in fees. First, sign up for a card that does not charge an annual fee. Never use a credit card to take out a cash advance at an ATM. Those cash advances incur an average 3% fee upon withdrawal, and begin to accrue interest right away. Some interest rates on cash advances can reach 25%! That’s throwing money away.

Likewise, don’t use convenience checks. They incur fees when used, and more fees if they get return or if you place a stop on them. Convenience checks and cash advances might have been no-brainers, but did you know that using your credit card to purchase money orders or lottery tickets can also bring fees? It’s best to use cash or debit for those purchases.

International travelers will find foreign-transaction fees on their credit card statements, and to make matters worse, these fees aren’t always accurate. Travelers abroad who purchased items with their credit cards early in 2006 are now entitled to refunds. (Visit http://www.ccfsettlement.com or contact your card company to see if you qualify for this refund.)

If you don’t want to throw your money away on hidden fees, think about applying for one of the best low-fee credit cards. According to Kiplinger.Com, the best of the best are ranked thus: Simmons First National Bank (P), with a recent interest rate of 7.25% and a cash advance rate and fee of 11.25%/3%. This card has no annual fee, and a 25 day grace period. Late and over-limit payments are subject to $29 fees.

Next is the Capital One Platinum Prestige (P), with a recent interest rate of 7.9 and a cash advance rate and fee of 19.8%/3%. This credit card doesn’t charge an annual fee, and carries a grace period of 25 days. Late payments and over-limit charges are subject to respective fees of $35 and $29.

Finally, we have the Pulaski Bank & Trust (G). It has a recent interest rate of 7.99. Cash advances come at a 7.99% rate and no additional fee. There is a $50 annual fee and a 25 day grace period. Late payments and over-charges will both garner a $29 fee.

How bad are credit card fees? They’re not pretty, but you do have some control over the card you choose to carry. Remember, if you’re uncertain about certain fees, call your card company and ask someone to explain them to you. That’s what customer service is all about.

Imagine hiring an accounts keeping agent for free for your small business. This is what small business credit card does for you indirectly. However, this is not the only benefit. There are a lot of other benefits too. It’s for these benefits that the small business credit cards have gained the status of a necessity today. Let’s see what these benefits are.

1. Auto-segregation of business expenses

This is the most important benefit from using a small business credit card. You just have to ensure that you make all your business payments using your small business credit card and your monthly credit card statement will clearly and accurately reflect all your business expenses. You can use this further for accounting purposes or business planning.

2. Rolling credit

Small businesses, as any business, incur expenditures first and earnings later e.g. a business might need to make purchases, pay their staff, incur maintenance costs etc, all towards building a product or providing services to their clients. The client is, of course, going to make payments. However, there is a time lag between these expenditures and earning. A small business credit card allows you to roll-over the credit i.e. you can pay for your expense using your credit card especially when you are expecting the client to pay in a month or so. This way you are rolling-over the credit to your small business credit card supplier. Thus the money to fund those expenses doesn’t come from your cash account

3. Emergency help

This is something which every small business requires. Small businesses experience crests and troughs. You never know when an immediate need for money might arise (on account of new purchases etc for a new project). More importantly, such a need generally arises from more/new business and you would surely not want this good news to be transformed into bad news. In such situations, a small business credit card can become really handy and bail you out.

4. Rewards

As with personal credit cards, the small business credit cards too have membership rewards. When choosing a small business credit card, this factor should also be given proper importance. Based on the requirements of your business, the rewards program of one credit card might suit you better than that of another credit card e.g. if your business involves a lot of air travel, a credit card offered by an airlines might give you additional benefits in terms of how fast and how much award points you earn. You can then barter these points for other benefits or products.

5. Other benefits

There are a lot of other benefits too which apply to small business credit cards. Though some of them are similar to what you have for personal credit cards, the ones for small business credit cards generally have something extra with them. These benefits include: cash back option, discounts on certain merchandise, free travel insurance, free baggage protection, discounts on hotels and rental cars and many more. Again, since these vary from company to company, you might as well look for these when choosing a small business credit card for your business.

With so many benefits, small business credit cards are really indispensable and demand attention.
